Trip to Rome was uneventful - mainly due to the fact that all four of us passed out for most of it. Not sleeping was catching up with us. All the bags arrived and we were off in search of our driver outside of passport control. This was such a good idea for 50 euros because if we has had to negotiate trains, walking For sure there would have been tears from someone. Unfortunately Christian spoke very little English so our ride in was rather quiet. Probably just as well as you need lots of concentration to drive - a number of near misses. Had a bit of a laugh when we saw a vehicle ahead of us called a "duster" now there is a name for you!
Daniela's father in law was in the apartment when we arrived and gave us a tour of the space. Exactly as the pictures on the vrbo site. Once he had his $$ we were left to make ourselves at home in 'our' rome apartment. You have to love modern technology ... Tessa had her iPod and was face timing with Olivia, a friend back home. Wild!
